Here you are looking over the long table, in the direction of the bar and the reception of the Ghost Museum itself.
The Brennivínsdraugurinn (alcohol ghost) looks impishly over the bar.
The view is fantastic and actually gets better and better when the weather gets worse.

The Ghost Bar
The Ghost Bar offers a spacious 250 square metres of entertainment and serves as the gateway to the Ghost Museum. The bar and all its unique decorations give a hint of what to expect when entering the Ghost Museum. The bar is mostly made of driftwood, as are the benches and tables. The floor is covered with old pavement stones and with unusual colour on the walls. Everything is perfectly complementary together.
The Ghost Bar was mainly conceived of for the guests of the Ghost Museum, but it has used extensively for concerts and other events. Today the Ghost Bar’s capacity suits about 200 people in one evening.
The View
The view from the bar is fabulous: the Stokkseyri beach, the old pier, and the Atlantic Ocean as far as the eye can see. When the tide is low you can see how difficult it was to sail through the old channel in between the reefs.
The Alcohol Ghost
In the Ghost Bar guests are joined by a few ghosts, one of which, the Brennivínsdrauginn (alcohol ghost), sits in a corner watching over guests while they visit. This ghost is quite kind, of Danish blood, and liked the taste of liquor. You also can find a dining plate. Kampholtsmóra, the custodian of the museum, watches carefully so that there is always food on the plate and water to drink. The stories tell us that Móri is more friendly to the people he follows if they feed him, and it is said that this happened while he lived in Kapholt.
Ghost drinks - Sea Ghost - Móra Milk - Zombie - Exposure
If you feel the need for something strengthening, you can buy beer in a can at the bar to take with you into the Ghost Museum. We also sell all kinds of ghost shots, such as Sea Ghost, Móra Milk, Skotta, Zombie and Exposure. So far, no one has liked the Zombie, and after they have caught their breath men lack words to describe it.
Opening hours
The Ghost Bar is open during the same times as the Ghost Museum, except when it is specially advertised otherwise. It can also be rented for different occasions.
